Review Summary
The Wireless One Hit Wonder is a cordless, high-thermal-mass injector/diffuser designed for rapid, full-extraction convection hits. It leverages a titanium housing packed with 540 gem-cut rubies to store and release intense, stable heat, delivering dense vapor with excellent terpene fidelity. Unlike coil-wrapped systems (example: Ruby Twist), heat is loaded passively via a docking station and decays between hits — making this device purpose-built for precision one-hit sessions, not extended draws. Flavor is exceptionally clean thanks to an all-inert airpath (titanium, ruby, glass), and performance rivals top-tier ball vapes in power and responsiveness. With fast heat saturation, configurable injector orientation (diffuser or direct-in), and minimal thermal loss, the One Hit Wonder is an elite tool for users who value purity, simplicity, and power in a single, uncompromised draw.

Background
The Wireless One Hit Wonder is the fastest rising star in the ball vape world. It’s an all-in-one kit that’s made by the same company that makes the Ruby Twist which is one of the most popular ball vapes ever made. I've been using the One Hit Wonder daily for the past few weeks, and in this review, I'll break down the kit, design, performance, and overall value to help you decide if this wireless approach to ball vapes is right for you.

The One Hit Wonder retails for $300, and coupon code VG10 will save you 10% at- VGEAR.COM. The code is active for all devices- Ruby Twist included, plus they have a bundle that includes the Chugga 2.0 bubbler and Flower Mill Grinder.
Included items
First off, is the One Hit Wonder injector itself. It’s basically a titanium chamber with a wooden handle, filled with 540 gem cut rubies that act as a thermal mass to store and retain heat.

Then there’s the Titanium bowl (aka Metrix Bowl), which has a stainless screen, and that’s where the herb goes. The Metrix bowl comes with a 14mm glass adapter installed, and there is an 18mm adapter in the kit as well.
Next is the PID controller- the main control unit of this heater. It plugs into a standard wall outlet and is responsible for powering the heating element and precisely regulating its temperature. “PID” stands for Proportional-Integral-Derivative, which refers to the algorithm, or the feedback loop, it uses to maintain a stable and accurate temperature—crucial for consistent performance.
The large aluminum block is the docking station for the whole setup. It can be secured to the PID controller with two included rubber bands and it has a gap to fit the cord of the heater, which is installed in its own compartment, and is plugged into the PID.

There is also a cleaning brush, some replacement screens, and an herb scoop- which is super handy! It is also sold separately and I use it for all my vapes, not only this one. Makes loading so much cleaner straight forward.
What's not included but needed?
So the only thing not included in the kit but is needed to get started is a bubbler. I recommend this Chugga 2.0 Bubbler, made by crossing, the same company behind the One Hit Wonder and the Ruby Twist. It’s big so it won’t tip over, and its large showerhead stem has excellent airflow. VGEAR has a discounted bundle that includes the One Hit Wonder, the Chugga bubbler, and the Flower Mill Grinder. They also sell the herb spoon too by the way.

How do ball vapes work?
Ok so, if you’re new to ball vapes, here is a quick explanation on how they work.
First I’ll make sure everything is assembled and secured. I’ll place my injector in the heater, and turn the PID on. I’ll set my temp, 600°F is a good place to start, and the thing starts heating up.
Meanwhile, the bowl goes on the bubbler. The herb goes in the bowl.

Now, I’ll wait around five minutes after the heater reaches its temp, to let the heat soak. The Rubies in the chamber are getting hot via conduction, meaning contact with the hot Titanium– which is contact with the “stationary” heating coil.
Then, the wand (with the now- extremely hot Rubies) is removed from the heater and placed on the bowl.
With each inhale, cold air comes in through the top, weaving through the densely packaged rubies– getting super hot. The result is a jet of hot air that comes in from the injector and into the bowl, creating pure convection heat with very distinctive, full, thick, flavorful vapor- that cools down as it travels through the bubbler.
Usage tips:
Now, it’s worth mentioning a couple of things here. To get even more heat to soak into the system, I can place my bowl on the injector as it warms up, prior to filling it with herb. Heat transfers into the Titanium bowl and it is pre-heated before it’s placed on the bubbler, for an even denser hit.

Also, the wand can be used as an injector, so the narrow part goes into the bowl. Or as a diffuser, so the thicker part fits around the bowl. The latter will be “stronger” as it brings the rubies, which are the heat source, closer to the herb.
So, there are many ways to use this vape. And it does perform super well in all its modes and configurations. It’s really amazing how much heat it retains and how well it works. It produces thick milky vapor, and since the air path is completely neutral- the flavor is top notch. There is only Titanium, the Rubies, and glass in the airpath. Zero contaminates, so every subtle terp is fully there, with every hit.
Downsides
The downside of the One Hit Wonder, is that since it doesn’t have an “attached” heat source, the heat will decay fairly quickly so the second hit may lack some punch. The Ruby Twist for example- has the heating coil wrapped around the Titanium chamber, so heat can be applied also while the wand is on the bubbler and during use.

This is obviously not an issue for one-hit extractions, as you don’t really need that second round of heat. And let’s be fair- the thing is called- the “Wireless One Hit Wonder” so that’s kind of what it's made for.
Bottom Line
The Wireless One Hit Wonder lives up to its name. It’s a powerful, wire-free injector-style ball vape that’s optimized for quick, potent extractions and stellar flavor. While it doesn’t sustain heat for multiple long sessions like the Ruby Twist for example, it nails its core mission: delivering one hit that’s dense, clean, and deeply satisfying. It’s an all-in-one kit that includes everything needed to get started (excpet for the bubbler.)
If you’re looking for a minimalist, ultra-effective desktop vaporizer with true wireless freedom (during use), this is one of the best options out there — especially when bundled with the Chugga 2.0 bubbler. Whether you're a connoisseur or a daily driver, the One Hit Wonder brings serious heat to the table — and leaves nothing behind but vapor. This is easily one of the best dry herb vaporizers of this year.
