Pulsar Sipper Video Review- Best eRig of 2023?
Background
So at first glance, this Pulsar Sipper looks like an ordinary eNail. It has a cone-shaped glass on top and a base at the bottom, with one activation button. ‘
It doesn't look much different than, say, the Puffco Peak Pro. But it is. Very different. In this review, I'll break down some of the features that make this vape extremely unique.
The Sipper retails for $200, well, $180, actually, if you use coupon code TVG10 at Vape-Smart. And as always, my reviews are not sponsored. I purchased this vape for full price, and Pulsar is not even aware that I'm writing this review.
In the box
The kit contains-
- The base, which has a magnetic cover
- The glass bubbler
- Two concentrate atomizers
- A 510 adapter to use with cartridges
- A dab tool
- A USB-C charging cable, and the instruction manual
Design & features
So as I mentioned, the Sipper may look like a typical electric dab rig, but it has three unique features that I have yet to see with any electric rig-
Dual compatibility- Wax & 510 Carts
The Sipper can work with concentrates such as Wax or Crumble, which is standard for eRigs, but it can also work with 510 cartridges, such as this one.
This is unusual for a dab rig. In fact, I can't think of any other rig that has this dual compatibility. I'll explain how it works in a minute.
Air pump to automatically extract the vapor
Once you load it with wax or a cartridge, it uses an internal air pump to fill the bottom of the glass attachment with vapor that just sits there and can be inhaled on demand.
Again, super unique and also mesmerizing to watch tbh (see gallery images below). The vapor looks like a thick, milky cloud that fills the entire bottom cup of the glass.
Removable glass bubbler
The entire glass can be removed from the base, and the vapor can be, well, “sipped” through the mouthpiece.
The glass can be filled with water or stay dry, but either way, it is removable and independent of the base once filled.
Usage & Interface
To load the Sipper- open the magnetic cover, attach either the loaded wax coil or a 510 cart using the adapter, place the base back on, and then the glass top.
5 Clicks to unlock, then three clicks to select a voltage level (with yellow being the lowest, then blue, green, and red being the highest), and then you can either touch and hold for manual operation or double tap for an automatic fill-up.
You'd hear the pump start working, and a few seconds later, think vapor will start filling the glass.
The glass has a carb cap that needs to stay open during fill-up and then be covered during the inhalation.
The vapor stays good down there for a few minutes. You don't want to leave it for more than that. But this vape does solve the issue that you don't need to vape it all in one shot directly from the hot coil. You can extract the vapor first and enjoy it at your own pace. This is a more laid-back experience that I see as appealing, especially to new users.
Bottom line
So yea, super cool vape. The vapor quality is pretty good, especially on the lower settings. I kept it on the first or second setting and didn't see a reason to bump it up to the third or fourth settings.
If you're considering buying one of these, use coupon code TVG10 at vape-smart to save $20.
