Arizer Solo 3 just dropped. View here.

The Arizer Solo 3 V2 is here, marking a full year since the original Solo 3 hit the shelves. In this post, I’ll quickly break down everything that’s new, including software tweaks, hardware upgrades, and small quality-of-life improvements you’ll want to know about before buying.

Software Updates:

  • Unlock Screen Toggle
You can now disable the old lock screen that required pressing a sequence of 4 buttons. Just toggle the “lock” to “off” in settings, and now all you need is a 3-second hold to unlock. Much smoother.
  • Customizable On-Demand Settings
The number of presets has been reduced from 5 to 3, but now you can fully adjust the temperature and duration of each preset. More control, less clutter.
  • Residual Heat Indicator
On-demand mode now includes a residual heat meter. As you heat up, a set of bars fill up. When full — that’s your cue to inhale — and they gradually fade as the residual heat dissipates. It’s a useful visual aid for timing your draws.
  • Quick Preset Switching
Two clicks in either direction instantly switch between presets. No more navigating through menus. Works in both Session and On-Demand modes.
  • Session Timer Shortcut
A single click on the center button now brings up the auto shutoff timer, making it easy to extend your session on the fly.
  • Faster & More Responsive Interface
The interface feels quicker and more fluid. Menu navigation is noticeably smoother.

Hardware Updates:

  • USB-C PD Charging
Finally, full USB-C Power Delivery support! Now you can use any standard USB-C charger — no more proprietary bricks or clunky USB-A cables.
  • New Color: Sea of Green
Arizer dropped a new colorway called “Sea of Green.” Matte green aluminum with a green-toned display — and it looks fantastic.
  • Clickier Buttons
The buttons on my V2 unit feel much clickier and more tactile compared to my early Solo 3. It could be a production tweak, but it’s definitely an improvement.

Performance

No change here — and that’s a good thing. The heater, airpath, and vapor quality are the same as the original Solo 3. The only noticeable difference is those satisfying button clicks, which may vary depending on when your unit was made.

Should You Buy the Solo 3 V2?

If you’ve been on the fence, now is a great time. This update smooths out a few rough edges without changing what made the Solo 3 great to begin with making it on the best vaporizers you can buy in 2025.
