The Simrell Collection stem, priced at a hefty $300, is a premium, stem vaporizer primarily constructed from precision-machined Titanium. Externally- it’s the best looking manual vaporizer I’ve seen. Internally, the cap protects a solid titanium “heating engine” which acts as a thermal mass, and two “click” discs. The design features a narrow and deep bowl, contrasting with the wider, shallower Tempest 2. In terms of performance, I found the vapor quality to be outstanding and better than the Vestratto Tornado, while being on par with the Tempest 2. The main drawbacks I noted are related to usability- the Simrell is non-magnetic, forcing me to wait until it is cold to safely uncap it and empty the bowl. Also, the deep and narrow chamber frequently causes the spent herb to get stuck, requiring a sharp tool to “debowl” it. But overall, the Simrall produces best-in-class vapor quality and I really enjoy using it.Read full review

While the updated “BallR” cap does enhance heat retention and vapor extraction, and the overall performance is arguably the best DynaVap has offered, it still comes with the quirks typical of manual heating. The Vestratto Tornado is, without a doubt, the hardest-hitting portable, battery-free dry herb vaporizer I’ve ever tested, making it an endgame device for users prioritizing an ultra-intense, one-hit extraction. Its vapor is remarkably dense and strong, due to its medical-grade titanium/stainless steel build and unique “secondary chamber” design that condenses the vapor, and I personally achieve perfect results using an induction heater. However, this power comes with two main drawbacks: the resulting throat hit is often overwhelming for most (and even painful for me after heavy use), and the rapid, powerful extraction sacrifices flavor, meaning subtle notes are lost. Ultimately, while the Tornado delivers unparalleled potency in one or two hits, I would personally recommend the Tempest 2 for most users, as it offers noticeably better flavor and a smoother overall experience.Read full review
