Review Summary
The HoneyStick BeeBox Pro is a versatile 510 battery that can also use nicotine pods, though it’s better for cart users than pod vapers.

Design and Features
Design
The BeeBox Pro is the latest in the line of conceal style batteries that have a switchblade-type function to fold the cartridge out of the way when it’s not being used. That’s all well and good but the Pro has another trick up its sleeve that makes it stand out from the rest of the pack. It has a slot on the top that allows it to use pods as well, making it a dual use battery. This kind of functionality is rare in 510 batteries and it gives the Pro an extra level of versatility that other batteries lack
Furthermore, the Pro has variable voltage selection, which allows you to select the precise voltage depending on which function that you’re using. The Pro also has a digital display so that you can check the selected voltage and the battery life. That’s a nice feature but the screen is very small and can be hard to read at times, but it does have a puff counter, which is a nice touch and it can switch between voltage and wattage settings. The way that you use the Pro differs depending on how you’re using it as well. If you’re using 510 cartridges, then it is button-activated, but if you’re using pods, they are draw-activated. That helps to differentiate the two functions, though I doubt anyone would have minded if they were both draw activated.
Using the BeeBox Pro with 510 cartridges feels great because they stick out further than they do with the standard conceal type batteries, though some batteries, like the Yocan Uni, allow you to adjust how far you want the cartridge to extend. Unlike most conceal batteries, the Pro can use any sized cartridge, but only if it is folded out, larger cartridges can’t be folded away because they won’t fit into the cartridge slot.
You can have a 510 cartridge and a pod in the Pro at the same time, so you can switch back and forth as you wish, which makes the Pro even more versatile. It’s constructed from aircraft aluminum, so it feels pretty solid and durable as well. The switchblade design means that the Pro is very portable-friendly as well, as is the fact that you only need to worry about carrying one vape device instead of two.
Features
Clearly the ability to vape both 510 cartridges and pods is the standout feature of the BeeBox Pro. The foldable switchblade action and variable voltage are pretty cool too.
How To Use
With 510 Cartridges
- Press the silver button near the top of the battery to flick out the cartridge holder.
- Screw the cartridge into the holder.
- Press the power button five times to turn on the device.
- Use the plus and minus buttons to adjust the voltage/wattage.
- Once heating is complete, hold down the power button while inhaling from the mouthpiece of the cartridge.
Performance and Vapor Quality
Performance
The BeeBox Pro heats up pretty quickly regardless of whether you’re using a cartridge or a pod. That makes it a reasonably convenient device for when you want to take a quick hit of either one.
Vapor Quality
The Pro does a good job of vaping cartridges thanks to the variable voltage settings. It shouldn’t be too hard to find the setting that you like since the voltage range allows you to customize your vaping experience for flavor, cloud production, or a combination of the two. The main problem anyone might have with the Pro is that it can be a little fussy to use.
You can’t really take a draw with the Pro anytime you want because of the need to turn it on and then adjust the voltage setting. However, the cartridge functionality is pretty much the same as it is with some of the best 510 batteries so you won’t have any problems once you do start using it.
Battery Performance
The Pro has a 600 mAh battery, which is a little more powerful than most similar devices like the KandyPens C-Box. It can go for a few days of moderate vaping with either cartridges or pods. Recharge time is one to two hours, which isn’t too bad.
