Background

The Utillian 620 is a dry herb vaporizer that features a similar design to the POTV One (Review) or the Fury Edge (Review). While the design is similar, the Utillian uses new technology such as Helix heating, black glass mouthpiece, and haptic feedback.

Design & Features

The Utillian 620 features an aluminum body, that has three buttons and an LED display. The magnetic mouthpiece slides out to reveal the aluminum heating chamber.

The Utillian feels very well made and is small enough to fit in any pocket or purse. Is has a glass mouthpiece with a “cooling chamber” that cools down the vapor before it's inhaled.

Helix heating

The Utillian introduced a new convection heating element, that's supposed to increase the heat intensity in the oven. The air runs through a spiral-shaped metal piece before it gets to the oven, and that creates a more even heat distribution.

The Helix element can be pushed out using a tool that's magnetically tucked at the button of the vape. This is a great feature that allows for easier cleaning of the vapor path.

Convection heating means that the heating element does not come in contact with the herbs in the “oven.” The heat is generated outside the oven and then pulled in with each draw. This results in very pure and flavorful vapor.

  • Temperature Range– 320 – 428°F (160 – 220°C).
  • Oven Capacity– 0.1-0.2 grams.
  • Heat up time– 45 Seconds

How To use Utillian 620

The Utillian 620 has a very simple and straightforward to operate.

  1. Pack the oven with dry herb
  2. Click the power button five times to turn the unit on
  3. Select a temp with the up and down keys
  4. The Utillain will take around 45 seconds to heat up, and will vibrate to let you know that it reached the selected temp.

Performance & Vapor Quality

I got the best vapor quality around 390°F and bumped towards 400-410 towards the end of sessions. The vapor quality was surprisingly good for a budget vape. The Utillian produced rich and aromatic vape lots of visible clouds.

Judging by the ABV (already vapes bud), the convection heating system of the Utillian is very efficient. For the most part, the herb was evenly vaped and fully extracted. You can also use the built-in stir tool that's tucked at the button to stir the herb once while you vape if you really want maximal extraction.

Utillian features a huge 2300mAh battery that lasts around 45-50 minutes on each charge.
