Background

Randy's Inspo+ 510 Battery marks an incremental stride in the evolution of vaping technology. This concealed design was first introduced a year ago with the Yocan Ziva, and the Inspo+ is the modern evolution of “elf bar” looking vapes. 

But the Inspo+ definitely takes it up a notch. It adds wax compatibility, five temp levels, and has a 1000mAh battery that is almost double the one of the Yocan or other similarly sized vapes.

Fully concealed cart

The cartridge is fully concealed inside the body of the Inspo+. The cartridge connects to the bottom part and slides into the body. The bottom part is held in place magnetically. 

This design ensures that the cartridge is not only well-protected but also keeps the device's profile sleek and discreet, ideal for vapers who prioritize privacy and subtlety in their devices. 

This is a design we're used to from multiple 510 batteries, such as the Ooze Duplex 2 and the Yocan Ziva. 

1000 mAh battery

Randy's Inspo+ features a powerful 1000 mAh battery, which is quite impressive for a device of its size. This robust battery makes it suitable for extended use without frequent recharging. 

This battery features five voltage levels ranging between 2.4v – 3.8v, which again is more than the typical three that you'd find in most batteries. This range of settings provides the flexibility to customize your temp based on your concentrate's requirements and personal preferences. 

I found that for distillate (which is my least favorite concentrate), I use the first or second setting, and for live rosin or resin carts, I use the second and third levels. I only go to #4 when I'm looking for a single heavy hit.  

The front has an LCD screen that shows real-time information on battery life, voltage settings, and a puff counter. It is also powered by a USB-C, which is my preferred way of charging a vape (or anything else!). 

Dual compatibility- carts & wax

The kit contains a 510 wax attachment with a quartz atomizer that can screw into the bottom part instead of a cart and enable the use of dabs. But I wouldn't buy this to use a primary wax vaporizer. It is suitable for occasional wax use, but if you're a frequent wax user, check out my favorite dab pens of 2024.

Inspo Plus Instructions 

You can read the full manual here, but here are the basic instructions:

1. Power On/Off: The device powers on automatically after the cart is connected and can be used with Auto-Draw.
2. Power Indicator: Press the bottom button to light the LCD screen to check real-time battery levels.
3. Charging: Use the USB-C cable for charging. The device vibrates once when plugged in and should not be used while charging. A red light indicates charging, and green indicates fully charged.
4. Preheating and Voltage Adjustment: Press the button once to adjust voltage (default is 3.4V). The device remembers the voltage setting even after disconnection. Voltage levels are indicated by different colors and signal bars on the display.
5. Compatibility: The Inspo+ is compatible with up to 2 Gram carts and devices like the included Sand Quartz Atomizer.

Bottom line

Randy's Inspo+ 510 Battery is an appealing choice for users of all levels, especially those looking for maximum discreetness. With a robust 1000mAh battery that easily lasts all day, five voltage levels, and a tiny LCD screen, it is suitable for users of all levels and can handle all types of carts.
